201. PAIR OF GREAT LAKES INDIAN BEADWORK AND BLACK CLOTH LEGGINGS. Bottom cuff with beadwork flowers, 14" strip going up leg with colorful flowers; all on a red trimmed black cloth. SIZE: 31"l. 205. OIL ON CANVAS DEATH OF NELSON AT THE BATTLE OF TRAFALGA 1805. Complex painting shows two ships at close quarters with boarding party and battle on deck. Nelson is in center, obviously wounded. Flames erupt on deck with many men battling with guns, swords and fists. Unsigned and well rendered. 19th Century painting with replaced gesso decorated frame. SIGHT SIZE: 26 1/2" h x 39 1/2" w. 215. FINE LARGE CARVED ANTIQUE CAROUSEL HORSE. Charles Looff style with carved features including rolled scroll saddle, tassel decoration, good carving to mane that is shown on one side. This piece has been stripped and only retains some of its original color. Glass eyes, flaring nostrils and open mouth. SIZE: 58"h x 58"l. 230. GOOD BOSTON MAHOGANY LADY'S SECRETARY SIGNED C. BRIGGS. There is a C. (Cornelius) Briggs living in Boston and listed as a cabinet maker in 1817. A card table and work table are known with this signature. Signature is branded on inside of glazed door. Desk is in one-part with top section having two glazed doors with molded mullions in a geometric pattern. Interior with six drawers and 16 pigeonholes. Slanted writing surface with large drawer. 232. WONDERFUL SATIN WOOD AND INLAID TEA CADDY. Caddy having inlaid borders all around with diamond shaped mahogany inlaid panels, two on front, one on each end and one large one on the top with a silver ring pull. Inlaid escutcheon, interior with two satin wood ivory handled lids with round center compartment having glass bowl. Underside of lid is quilted. SIZE: 6" h x 12" w x 6" d. 233. WONDERFUL CARVED FIGURAL IVORY PIE CRIMPER. Pie crimper features a serpent or dolphins head from which the crimper is originating. Above the serpent, further along the handle is a full relief carved nude woman with ample busts. Above her hair in her head is the serpents or dolphins tail which curves up above it. Female is anatomically correct and the detail work in the carving is excellent. SIZE: 7 1/2". CONDITION: generally very good. 8-86928 (2,500-3,500)

234. FINE ANTIQUE ESKIMO CARVED WALRUS CRIBBAGE BOARD. This scrimshaw cribbage board has wonderful carved design around the peg holes and the tip is carved and simulates a fish with mouth wide open attempting to eat the cribbage board. The reverse scrimshawed with walrus and seal, possibly done by Joe Ignatius, an Eskimo scrimshaw islander around 1910. A particularly fine example. SIZE: Approx. 12" l. CONDITION: Generally excellent, however the end carved out to hold the pegs with the wooden plug missing. 8-86847 (800-1,200)

235. MAHOGANY INLAID HEPPLEWHITE SIDEBOARD. Bowfront center section with central door having inset panel and center inlay. This door is flanked by two bottle drawers and top of center section has center drawer flanked by two smaller drawers. Side sections have large door and drawer above. Large shaped backsplash. Line inlay, all resting on tapered short square legs. L. N. Arnall Richmond, VA label to reverse. SIZE: 53" with backsplash, 44 1/2 without, case size 71" x 21 1/2". 237. OUTSTANDING BURL AND INLAID TEA CADDY. All over burl tea caddy having striped inlay across top and along edges with ivory escutcheon. Interior with two burl top hinged lid compartments and open round center compartment. Glass bowl inside. Tea caddy sits on four brass decorated claw feet and having brass ring handles on ends. 238. RARE SILHOUETTE OF MAN AND WOMAN BY MISS M.A. HONEYWELL. Miss Honeywell lived from 1809 to 1849. She was born without arms and she cut silhouettes by holding the scissors with her teeth . For a time she was with Barnham's old museum. Inscribed below silhouette "Cut Without Hands by M.A. Honeywell". Appears that two different silhouettes were put together under this frame. 241. IMPORTANT CONTINENTAL ELABORATE FREZIAN-CARVED FULL FITTED TEA CADDY. Wonderfully carved oak tea caddy with two interior lift top compartments with a velvet lined carved trimmed center compartment. Box is completely carved all over. 250. WONDERFUL PRIMITIVE 18TH C. DIMINUTIVE CORNER CUPBOARD. Appears to be cherry wood. One piece with two tall double-raised panel doors to top. Two shaped shelves, "H" hinges, bottom has two raised panel doors with one shelf. A nice weathered patina reflecting an old hint of blue-green paint. SIZE: 76"h x 42"w x 19"d. 257. LOT OF 10 PIECE BLUE STAFFORDSHIRE DISHES. Fine lot of dark blue Staffordshire consisting of a covered sugar bowl, creamer, four handless cups with saucers. Matching pattern depicts a pair of dogs. Saucers are marked "Stevenson". SIZE: Varies, covered sugar 7" to top of finial, creamer 6" to top of handle, saucers 6" diam. CONDITION: Generally very good. 266. OIL ON CANVAS PORTRAIT OF MRS. ROBERT ANDREWS ATTRIBUTED TO REMBRANDT PEALE. Painting shows a half portrait of elderly lady with white lace bonnet and collar with bluish black dress on a dark background. Housed in its original gold gesso frame. Unsigned. The portrait was exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. This Exhibition of the United States Constitution Sesquicentennial commission was titled Lone Exhibition of Portraits of the Signers and deputies to the Convention of 1787 and Signers of the Declaration of Independence including their families and associates...held November 27, 1937 to March 1, 1938. This painting is No. 217 in the catalogue. The catalogue entry indicated that the family tradition has been that this portrait was painted by Rembrandt Peal. 322. RARE MINIATURE CARVED MALLARD ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES PURDUE OF HENRY, ILLINOIS. Purdue and his wife are recognized as some of the foremost Illinois River decoy carvers and created in their lifetime a great number of quality decorated hunting decoys which they sold privately and through large sporting houses. They carved duck calls and also like Elmer Crowel also carved a number of miniature decorative ducks such as this mallard.
