This pair of pistols, which were later converted to percussion, descended in Thomas Hart Benton’s family through his third daughter Sarah, who married Richard Jacob, Lt. Governor of Kentucky, Lela Jacob, their oldest daughter, married Daniel Wooley of Lexington, Kentucky, the Wooley’s had a number of children.
