Our spring Glass & Lamp auction offered a wide variety of exceptional art glass and lighting ranging from early decorated Stiegel glass from the Ruggles House Society Museum to exceptional Mt. Washington incl. a monumental Royal Flemish double handled vase with Egyptian scene and a rare Burmese covered rose jar with a Charles Dickens verse. Tiffany was well represented featuring an outstanding orange Poppy table lamp as well as a beautiful 18" Dogwood with lots of confetti glass.

Held at our Fairfield, Maine facilities on November 30th and December 1st, 2001 the first day of the auction featured the famous Uncle Sam memorabilia collection of Gerald Czulewicz. About 400 lots were offered the first day, including James M. Flagg originals and the actual Uncle Sam uniform that Flagg used in the production of his famous poster. Over 500 lots were offered the second day, including country store, coin-op, toys, dolls, Coca-Cola items, and many other fine items.

The outstanding Handel leaded glass lamp of "Atlas Supporting the World on His Shoulders" sold for $40,250, a new world record for a Handel leaded glass lamp.
